BONITA SPRINGS – The owners of Chops City Grill, a steakhouse in Bonita Springs, are temporarily closing the location for a million dollar renovation project.
The temporary closure begins on May 23, according to a statement, with the restaurant scheduled to open in the fall. The Naples-based property group, Culinary Concepts, says the project is “the first phase of a comprehensive renovation program that will enhance the elegance and solid reputation of the 20-year-old steakhouse as the South’s premier steakhouse. West Florida ”.
“Chops has such a passionate and loyal fan base and we are delighted to begin this first phase of improving the structure and design of our classic American steakhouse,” added Culinary Concepts founder Skip Quillen in the release. “With the addition of Italian chandeliers, dark velvet fabric and deep-toned woods, the new Chops décor will be nothing short of spectacular. This renovation plan is in line with our company’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service and memorable dining experiences.
The upscale 300-seat steakhouse opened in 2001 at 8200 Health Center Blvd. with indoor and outdoor dining, specializing in dry-aged roast prime rib, American Prime, Japanese and Australian wagyu strip, T-bone and rib eye steaks and choice of assorted fresh seafood with creative sides and original sauces. The antique steakhouse bar offers over 100 whiskey selections, a wine list of over 300 bottles, creative handcrafted cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections. The wine list, house cocktails and dinner menu will be improved with the renovations, says Quillen.
Culinary Concepts operates five restaurants under three brands: Pazzo! Cucina Italiana, Yabba Island Grill and the Saloon; There are two Chops locations, one in Naples and the other in Bonita Springs.
