Police target speeders, irresponsible driver Friday on route 125
The state police warning is to be on your best driving behavior Friday on route 125 or there is a good chance you will get a traffic ticket.
With nearly 450 accidents and 118 people injured since 2016, state police and local services will be part of a “directed patrol” on the road from Plaistow to Milton day and night. Officers will “vigorously” search for speeding, impaired and distracted drivers.
“The data shows that the Route 125 corridor has seen many major crashes over the past five years, many of which have resulted in serious injury or death. The Highway Safety Bureau is pleased to be able to fund these patrols, ”said State Police Captain Christopher Vetter, Commander of the Highway Safety Bureau.
Brentwood Police Chief Dan Wicks has seen firsthand what happens as a result of misconduct.
“As a result of this irresponsible behavior, many are injured, families are torn apart and there is frequent damage to vehicles and property,” Wicks said.
The additional patrols, which will be funded by grants from the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety
